Free Intro to Welding Training in 2024!

The path to a well-paid, in-demand career as a welder starts now! Skilled welders are in high demand, from manufacturing to clean energy, welding is a well-paid, in-demand skill that provides many career path opportunities.

 

This Intro to Welding training program will prepare participants for an entry-level welding career along with test prep for the American Welding Society certification!

 

Become an American Welding Society (A.W.S) Certified Welder in as little as 10 weeks!

  • All supplies, gear, tuition, and materials are included!
  • 3 Free round-trip MetroCard's each week of the program.
  • Lunch provided during Saturday Welding Lab training day!
  • No experience is necessary to participate in training.
  • Students must be available to attend all classes on the KCC campus.

 

Program Schedule

January 4th - March 12th /

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6pm-9pm and Saturdays, 9am- 5pm

 

This program is offered at NO COST. Space is very limited, so only serious applications will be considered. To apply, please have interested participants fill out the form here

 

Eligibility: 

  • 18+ years or older.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • Possess proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking skills)
  • Must be able to commit to and attend all classes at the Kingsborough Community College campus to participate in the program.
